The "Future Ready 2030: Skills for the Next Generation" career development workshop was successfully conducted on 11th June, 2026 at the University College of Batangala. The program brought together 100 school leavers from across the Kegalle District and Ratnapura District along with career guidance teachers and industry professionals to prepare students for the evolving job market of 2030 and beyond. Participants engaged in interactive sessions covering future job trends, CareerOne psychometric assessments, National Competency Standards (NCS), personal branding, and career action plan development. The workshop was organized by the Career Guidance Unit of University College of Batangala in collaboration with the TVEC, Kegalle & Ratnapura District Secretariat, KOICA – CareerOne Platform and the Ministry of Education. The program received overwhelming positive feedback from students and teachers, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in guiding young learners toward meaningful vocational career pathways.
